How To Clean Mass Air Flow Sensor 1995 Toyota 4runner
| | #one |
| Junior Member | Team, new possessor of a 1991 , 2WD, 3.0l, 4runner, 3VZE. Giving it the forum recommended tune upward and std cleaning. Lots of posts on this site about how the MAF is a regular cleaning item, using CRC spray. Took autonomously my MAF... Here is movie. Is this plastic probe the function I want to nail with CRC spray? There is a little porthole in the base of operations. I don't run into a lot of give-and-take in this classic forum about MAF maintenance, or the usual YouTube helpers. Is this fifty-fifty a office ane would clean other than the quick wipe down of dust in the inlets? Thanks, tk |

| Junior Member | its only actually needed every 30k miles or so and yes its the little probe, simple merely often passed over i would also accept off the tube that mounts to your intake/throttle body, and clean out the niggling hole on the bottom right with intake cleaner, this is the idle air command valve Fife Last edited by Idrivetoys; 12-24-2013 at 01:39 PM. | ||

| Junior Member | Cheers Guys all points taken. Obviously the VZE 2gens take a Mass Airflow Meter, not a Mass Airflow Sensor like later models. The divergence is that the afterwards MA Sensors utilize heated wires, which actually need that CRC spray to keep clean. This two gen MA Flowmeter has a vane/flapper that just needs surface cleaning. That petty probe is a temperature probe to recoup air temp. Proficient to clean out with spray.... |
